Ab8fdc8a 8bdc 42f6 B05f 09c1db46075aTHE USAID CHEKUP II Activity is participating in this year’s International Workshop on Adolescence, SRHR, & HIV, which is currently taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.

At this timely event, the Activity is sharing with an international audience its research findings on how to improve HIV prevention and treatment services among adolescents, especially those with disabilities.

In her abstract titled “Closing the Gap in HIV Prevention among Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW): Reaching AGYW With Disabilities Through the PEPFAR DREAMS Initiative”, the USAID CHEKUP II Activity’s Director for Priority Populations, Misozi Siwela, shares that partnerships in the health sector are central to providing AGYW with disabilities with tailored and non-discriminative HIV prevention services.

Six of the USAID CHEKUP II Activity’s abstracts were accepted at the international workshop, demonstrating the project’s interest and expertise in the field.

The theme for the workshop is “Building a Brighter Future: Staying Ahead of the Evolving HIV and SRHR Landscape”.
