Building the Digital & Physical Backbone of National Health.
We engineer the resilient systems that keep Zambia healthy. From the Next-Generation eLMIS that powers the national supply chain to the IMPACT Teams driving data sovereignty, we provide the infrastructure for sustainable development.

The Digital Nervous System: eLMIS Facility Edition (FE)
We are migrating Zambia’s health sector from paper to pixels. As the prime implementers of the Electronic Logistics Management Information System (eLMIS), CHZ has deployed the ‘Facility Edition’ (FE) to hundreds of sites, creating a live digital link between rural clinics and the central warehouse. This architecture reduces stockouts, eliminates wastage, and ensures essential medicines reach the last mile.
Turning Data into Decisions: The IMPACT Team Model
Technology needs a culture to thrive. CHZ has institutionalized IMPACT Teams (Information Mobilized for Performance Analysis) within Ministry structures. We don’t just train staff; we create ‘eLMIS Champions’ who analyze consumption data in real-time to optimize orders. We are moving the system from ‘push’ to ‘pull,’ driven by local demand.

Built to Last: The Transition Roadmap
We build for sovereignty. Under the eLMIS Sustainability & Transition Plan, CHZ is systematically transferring code ownership, server management, and technical governance to the Ministry of Health. We are not creating parallel systems; we are strengthening the national mandate.

The Digital Nervous System: eLMIS in Zambia
Zambia’s medical supply chain serves over 19 million citizens across 116 districts. To eliminate stockouts of essential life-saving commodities—including antiretrovirals (ARVs), rapid diagnostic tests, vaccines, and maternal health supplies—Coalition Health Zambia leads the technical operations of the national electronic Logistics Management Information System (eLMIS) in direct partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA).
- 1,039 Digitized Health Facilities: Operating real-time electronic inventory management from central medical stores down to primary rural health posts.
- 54% Public Sector Footprint: Managing logistics data for over half of Zambia’s total public health network.
- 99% On-Time Reporting Rate: Enabling data-driven procurement, demand forecasting, and rational commodity distribution.
- Zero Wastage Target: Automated batch tracking and expiry alerts preventing stock expiry and spoilage.

IMPACT Teams: Decentralized Governance and Data Sovereignty
Technology alone does not move medical commodities—people and governance do. Coalition Health Zambia institutionalizes multi-disciplinary Information Mobilized for Performance Analysis and Continuous Transformation (IMPACT) Teams at district and provincial levels.
These teams bring together District Health Directors, Pharmacy Officers, and Clinical Specialists to review real-time stock dashboards, resolve supply chain bottlenecks, and conduct root-cause analysis on commodity disparities before facility-level stockouts occur. Last-Mile Delivery and Sustainable Health Infrastructure
Securing the supply chain at the last mile requires overcoming complex geographical and infrastructural barriers, particularly in flood-prone and remote rural provinces. Our logistics models incorporate solar-powered cold chain storage, mobile data synchronization for off-grid clinics, and cross-functional technical support to guarantee that every Zambian, regardless of location, has reliable access to quality medicines.
